Version 1.2.0 Beta 1

2. Binary Distributions

Currently there is only a Windows binary distribution. Binary distributions for the Unix variants may be made available at a later date.

2.1. MS Windows Installer

Note

When upgrading from a previous version of NanoHive-1, conf/configs.txt will be renamed to conf/configs.txt.old. Other than that, all other installed files in the NanoHive-1 directory will be clobbered, so if you've customized any of the examples, for example, you should back them up before running the installer.
  1. Execute the NanoHive-1-x.x.x-Setup.exe Windows installer file by double-clicking on it.
  2. Read the License Agreement and if you accept all the terms of the agreement, click the "I Agree" button. Otherwise click the Cancel button.
  3. There are two levels of installation.
    • The Basic install includes the NanoHive-1 Core, a basic set of plugins to get you started (AIREBO, BasicCellTraverser, BondCalculator, ConsoleCommand, MeasurementSetToFile, MPQC_SClib, nanoML_ImportExport, nanorexMMP_ImportExport, NetCDF_DataSet, NH_SimStateImportExport, OpenBabelImportExport, RAMEntityManager, RC_Traverser, REBO_MBM, SocketsControl, and SocketsPIC_Control), and documentation.
    • The Full install includes the NanoHive-1 Core, all the plugins, and documentation.
Choose the type of install you want and click the Next button.
  4. Set the folder to install NanoHive-1 into, or leave the default. When you click the Install button, NanoHive-1 will be installed onto your hard drive.

You can run the installer anytime to install additional components; just un-check the "NanoHive-1 Core" component to preserve your configuration files.

That's it. Now go back to the ReadMe for its Where To Start section.
